Title: I want to save only one file even if I copy it multiple times.
Post by: takeshi on August 02, 2019, 10:43:11 PM
If I make multiple web copies at the same URL,
Multiple files are stored with numbering, like example.jpg, example-1.jpg, example-2.jpg, example-3.jpg.

I want to save only the example.jpg in the latest state without saving the same file more than once. How should I do?

Option> General> Backups> Save Backups
Even if I unchecked, it was still stored several with number.

Hello,

The Save Backups option applies to the WebCopy project file and has no impact on copying a website.

It sounds like you're downloading the same project multiple times to the same folder without saving a project or the link map. By default, WebCopy won't overwrite existing files unless it already knows the filename is the local version of the URI being copied.

If you can share a little bit more information about how you're using WebCopy I may be able to help further with which settings you need to change to achieve you goal.
