Hello,

your Color Palette Editor is amazing and it supports many filetypes, unfortunately it doesn't support Affinity Palette filetype.

I saw an earlier post from a year ago (which I didn't want to 'necro', so I made this one) and I've decided to provide files of two different palettes (one with 12 colors, another with 6) in both .afpalette and .pal file formats.

Hope it helps! :)

Hello,

Adding this support is still on my list, I just haven't had time to get around to it. I did pick up both Affinity Designer and Photo last week though so hopefully it'll be sooner rather than later I can get onto this. WebCopy usually takes priority though as that is where people yell loudest.

With that said, I don't think Serif have published a specification, and they can contain things other than simple colours. Given this, and the fact that they support opening ase files, I'd rather concentrate on more fully supporting ase files first (for example the v1 UI doesn't support groups) rather than trying to reverse engineer this.

In all honesty I'm a little disappointed in the two Serif products at how they wish to lock into the propitiatory formats. I open an SVG in Designer, it won't allow it to be saved as anything but their af* format. Exporting is not the same thing. Open a PNG in Photo, same thing.

Thank you for the samples, they should be helpful.
